German based company MTBisOkay just made a dope video of a portable wooden pump track called 52Grad with some MTB and BMX riders getting tech on it. The riders (Joscha Forstreuter, Rick Schubert, Aiko Göhler, Fanni Florian & Carlo Dieckmann) had crazy skills with those manuals, dope riding 4sho!
I’ve been a big fan of pump tracks since they started making them and I only see things getting bigger and better with these types of setups. I think it fills a void and bridges the gap between BMX racing, 4x MTB and even motocross cross training. It’s also a great way to get new riders involved with the sport and off road cycling in general. I think it’s especially useful for those indoor parks and inner city riders who can’t travel to the big tracks. I can definitely imagine Redbull having a big pumptrack comp in Union Square in NYC, I think the options are endless….
