Common (@common) – Congratulations – Is A Really Dope Story Rhyme

I’m really diggin this new joint my Common called “Congratulations” produced by NO ID! It’s a real laid back, smooth 70’s/early 80’s electric piano sounding sample reminiscent of something Bob James or Ramsey Lewis would make so you know I instantly was into it. No ID definitely found a gem in this sample and I love the singing vocal touches sprinkled in there. Now Common really shines on these types of beats so you already know he did justice to this one. He tells an very scenic story about attending his boys wedding and being his best man. Unfortunately it sounds like his man picked the wrong one to marry and everybody knew it as well as Common.
