I got sent an album called “Real Spit” by an emcee named “BigDoxx” and came across this song on the album called “Call It Morning”. I was instantly interested in the song as as soon as I heard that classic Gil Scott Heron “I Think I’ll Call It Morning” sample when the song started. I wanted to see how producer Notchgotbeets flipped the beat with that sample in it and I was feeling what he did on it. BigDoxx went in with his socially conscious lyrics, he was dropping jewels on this one 4sho! And as a added element of dopeness, BigDoxx actually got Gil Scott Heron’s daughter Gia Scott Heron spittin bars on the track too, that’s wassup!
