So this company out of Budapest called Vinilyze figured out a way to make some pretty dope glasses out of vinyl records! They did it as a way to recycle old, broken or wack vinyl records 🙂 .I think this idea is so sick! Below is the official description about the company:
Vinylize began because we wanted to make eyewear on a recyclable basis. We experimented by making old vinyl records into frames. The process has been refined over a number of years into a stylish and sophisticated product.
​Some vinyl is valuable because of the content but not all and it’s those unwanted vinyl records that instead of just being thrown into landfill we remake into unique and very wearable eyewear.
Now that is so HipHop and the glasses have a similar shape to the the classic Gazzele glasses!
What a great way to recycle Vinyl records, all those DJ’s out there who have abandoned their vinyl collection and are trying to get rid of them in this new digital era now have a way to actually wear those records. I don’t know if It will be taken as a compliment or a diss to an artist though LOL! I guess it could be taken either way, let me know what you think!
