ATTENTION: Are you driving a truck, motorhome/RV or towing a trailer? Connecticut and New York DO NOT ALLOW trucks, trailers or motorhomes on their parkways!
DO NOT TRUST YOUR GPS if it directs you onto any Parkway in Connecticut or New York, or if directs you onto Connecticut Route 15 between the New York state line and Hartford!

Directions to Trumbull (T.R.A.C.K.) BMX:
180 Whitney ave Trumbull, CT

From I-95. Take exit 27A onto Rt.25N, go to end of expressway. At end of expressway take left at light onto Rt.111S (Main Street). Go just about 1 mile, take left onto Whitney Ave. (after Marisa’s Restaurant). Go 1/2 mi. to Indian Ledge Park entrance (on right).

From Merritt Parkway (Route 15 – no trucks, trailers or motorhomes/RVs!). Take exit 49N, onto Route 25N. At end of expressway take left at light onto Rt.111S (Main Street). Go just about 1 mile, take left onto Whitney Ave. (after Marisa’s Restaurant). Go 1/2 mi. to Indian Ledge Park entrance (on right).

From I-84 Heading West (from Mass.) Take exit 11. Turn left at end of ramp. Go 1 1/2 miles to end, and turn left onto Rt 25 S. Follow RT 25 to RT 111 (about 9 miles). Turn right on RR 111 S. Go just about 1 mile to Whitney Ave (after Marisa’s Restaurant). Take left on Whitney Ave. Go 1/2 mi. to Indian Ledge Park entrance (on right).

From I-84 Heading East (from New York) Take exit 9. Turn right at end of ramp onto RT 25 S. Go 1/2 mile to traffic light, and turn left, staying on RT 25. Follow RT 25 S to RT 111 (about 13 miles). Turn right on RT 111 S. Go just about 1 mile to Whitney Ave. (after Marisa’s Restaurant). Take left on Whitney Ave. Go 1/2 mi. to Indian Ledge Park entrance (on right).

Recommendations: If you are coming through the greater New York City area:

Between 6 AM and 7PM you should avoid the George Washington Bridge (I-95 through NYC). Try I-287 over the Tappan Zee Bridge, or I-84. Between 7PM and 6AM the George Washington Bridge usually flows pretty well. If you have e-z pass, use the center toll lanes marked for e-z pass only. They are no-stopping lanes.

Between 3PM and 7PM you may want to avoid I-287 and the Tappan Zee Bridge (Thursday & Friday). The least traffic into Connecticut is by I-84. If you take the Tappan Zee Bridge and have e-z pass, use the left lane, the no-stopping express lanes for e-z pass are on the left side of the toll plaza.

If you take I-287 over the Tappan Zee Bridge between 11AM an 7PM you want to avoid I-95N. Two options:
1 If you have a non-commercial vehicle, no camper or trailer, take the I-287 to the Hutchinson River Parkway, which becomes the Merritt Parkway, (rt.15) in Connecticut. Follow the directions from the Merritt Parkway above.
2. If you have a truck, commercial vehicle, camper, or are pulling a trailer, take I-287 to I-684N to I-84E. Follow the directions from I-84 above.
