Sugar Cayne
The annual Jack Frost race held at Egg Harbor BMX track is the officially the jump off to the BMX racing season in the North East. This year mark the 21st year of the Jack Frost and it was awesome as usual! This year they had 80+ motos and over 350 riders, it felt like we were at a regional!! Although the weather was pretty bad in the days leading up to the event, the track was looking superb on the day of the race and everyone I talked to that rode it all had good things to say about it.
The Long Island BMX community/Shoreham riders came strong with a posse of riders this year. I saw some TLI riders shredding the track plus there are some new Long Island based teams like the Mach 1 Racing Team and Team Corrosive. Last year long Island riders were all over the place hitting up all the NYS Races. Will they be taking over the whole north east this year? Stay tuned.
I also got to see the awesome new TNT and Scarred 4 Life racing frames in person and both look amazing. Stay tuned for my interview with TNT crew coming soon.
There were so many other great things that happened at the event, it was definitely a great start to the 2015 BMX racing season 4sho!!!
Big shout out to my dude Nigel Cummings (In the photo above) for rolling with to the event with me. He had a great start to the season pulling a 2nd place in the 41-45 cruiser class. Congrats!!
