The joint is a tribute Miss She Ill’s home state California while also paying homage to the NAS classic “New York State Of Mind”. I love what producer I-Cue of Ingenious Music crafted for this beat. It was a nice touch for I-Cue to add elements of the DJ Premier produced classic but making his own rendition of the beat. This Is HipHop!!!
