We got Sydney Wiseman of tech toy brand WowWee to give us a look at some of the cool new toys that the company is releasing this year. First up we took a look at all the new Elektrokidz designs. They added a bunch of cool new colors and styles for the collectible figures.
Next up we looked at the Groove Cube which is the worlds smallest Bluetooth speakers and they sound pretty awesome for their size!
Then was checked out the Snap Pets which are miniature figures that have a small camera in them to resemble a eye. It has a .3-megapixel VGA camera built in meant to be used for taking fun flicks not hi rez photos.The resolution was also mainly chosen to keep wireless picture transfer fast.
The really cool part about the Snap Pets is it links with a smartphone (iPhone or Android) via Bluetooth and pairs with a dedicated application. The app searches for the specific Snap Pet and can actually receive pics from several. Once connected you can push the button on the phone and it will take a picture through the Snap Pet’s “eye” and transfer it to the app where you can then edit it…That picture can then be shared via Facebook, Twitter or the like…..pretty dope!!!
Then last but not least we check out the MIPosaur which takes WowWee’s popular MIP Robot technology to the next level. “Miposaur is equipped with GestureSense™ Technology that enables it to respond to the swipe of hand. Depending where you swipe, you can either become Miposaur’s new best friend, or dinnertime target!” You have to see it in action!!
I have to give a big shout out to Sydney for showing me around the WowWee booth again, I can’t wait to see what the brand will having coming out at the next Toy Fair!
