GT Bicycles Brand Manager Ben Ward gave us a bike check of the 2017 GT Performer Pro 26″ BMX Cruiser at 5050 Skatepark. The bike is a really close 26 inch replica of the original 20 inch GT pro Performer from 1986.
The bike features some really cool takes on retro GT dopeness starting with the GT Power Series Alloy 3pc Cranks which has the logo lazer etched on them so they won’t fade like the classic one’s did. The classic 2piece GT bars are back as well as the classic seat stay platform. Another really cool feature is, all the decals on the bike are done in water color and are under the clear coat. That means the deals won’t come off or fade unless you damage the clear coat of course. And did we say the bike is rolling on Mohawk Hubs??? BOOM!!
It looks so good in person! We’re really impressed on all the attention to details done on this bike, it’s really cool!
Ben talks about all the features of this bike in the video below!
