Backhand Bikes – Kayo – Fist Stem Is Sick

We recently came across one of the sickest most original looking BMX stems ever made by Backhand Bikes! It’s a stem designed to look like a fist that’s holding the handlebars. The polished front load stem is definitely a collectors item and the company is currently testing it’s strength and performance for all those insane, aggressive riders out there. The stem is called “Kayo” and we hope this piece makes it to the market. Even if this stem doen’t wind up being strong enough for getting rad, we would still cruise around on it and possibly throw in a few wheelies 😉 This is a must have!

We compared the Kayo design to a typical stem design with 4 bolts. They both slipped handlebars at 310 foot pounds of torque. No Knurl on test bar. We were testing for clamping force not sheer strength. | #BMX | #backhandbikes | #Fusion360
