With the 2016 Rio games just a few weeks away we’re starting to see some of the awesome custom bikes being built for the BMX Pros heading to the games. Owner of Northwest Metal Fab & Powdercoat and MCCOLLUM PARK BMX Track Operator BOB Gleyre was given the task of doing a custom paint job on Jeff Upshaw’s Kuwahara Luchesis Olympic frame and it looks amazing.
BOB had this to say via his Facebook page:
“I couldn’t be more honored to have been given the task to do this project! Jeff Upshaw put his trust not only in my work, but he trusted in my ability to be creative! If I said I didn’t have the jitters the entire time, I would be lying. To be a part of the Olympic dream, at any level, is something I never imagined. Thank you to Zac Ketner for polishing this up for a mirror base. Also thanks to Cameron Landry with Sign Dog for the custom stickers! The road to Rio Olympic games just made a pass thru Northwest Metal Fab and Powdercoat! #100%powdercoat on this one!”
We can’t wait to see this bike built up!
