For some reason it is super hard to find out when the BMX racing and Mountain Bike events will be broadcast on NBC and it’s affiliate stations. The website with the schedule is super slow to navigate through and it seems like you have to go through layers of pages to get to it since they happen during the last few days of the Olympics. The other issue was some listings didn’t show the time zone that the broadcast was happening.
Well we finally found the page with all the info and to save your self all the trouble of sifting through the web to find the broadcast schedule, we posted it below. 🙂
For the first time since it’s debut on 2008, BMX Racing finally gets a daytime time slot! Wednesday through Friday Aug17th-19th BMX will be broadcast at 2pm (est)!! The Mountain Bike competitions will be broadcast Saturday Aug 20th and Sunday Aug21st at 2pm.
As you can see in the image BMX will be featured on the main NBC network channel on 18th and 19th, that’s big time coverage. A lot more people will be exposed to BMX Racing during the Olympics this time around. Hopefully they’ll have enough time in the broadcast to talk about the amateur side of the sport. Either way we’re super excited to see BMX get a better time slot and we hope that’ll help boost the sport!
