We don’t know how we feel about the new ACRONYM x NikeLab AF1 Downtown Hi kicks but they’re definitely interesting to look at. The sneakers are inspired by a utilitarian design/futuristic look all while providing function.
These kicks feature a extra-high, soft-shell collar which is supported by premium leather, extended brass zipper along its collar, pleated paneling and quick-release German mil-spec fastener.
These AF1’s pay an homage to past styles of pant-securing military boots and you can tell by its tactical functionality construction. But the kicks still manage to keep it’s original style in the over all look.
Although the kicks are built to cover pants and keep them dry in wet weather they also just happen protect your pants from your chain when bike riding. See….. Nike keeps making bike friendly sneakers and doesn’t even know it lol 😉
The collaborative ACRONYM x NikeLab AF1 Downtown Hi launched yesterday at NikeLab’s 21 Mercer location for the first time. ACRONYM online had three colorways available; Black/White-Medium Olive, Black/Black-Medium Olive and Black/Black-Bright Crimson and their already sold out!
