In honor of Elton John’s long time relationship with Nike, the brand has decided to take its iconic silhouette, the Air Force 1, and make a special pair just for the pop icon. The shinny kicks get their inspiration from a disco ball and the armor of a British Knight We actually though it was inspired by Marvel Comic character Colossus..how silly of us lol!! The Disco Ball represents Elton’s early disco day’s when he was dominating the sharts and the British Knight armor is inspired by the fact that Elton John is a Knight. Nike’s BETRUE theme is also seen along the “Jet” PE’s tongue and sole. On each heel tab “Sir” is boldly printed on them in honor of Sir Elton John. The kicks really have a nice balance between flashy and smooth and we’re sure Sir Elton John will be pleased with these. They would be pretty cool to take some photos in while shredding on a polished colored bike 🙂
