It’s been a minute since we posted some R&B soul music. But we came across this nice tune by Chicago’s own Ravyn Lanae and had to share it with ya’ll! This joint is called “Sticky” and it’s the lead single/music video off her upcoming EP “CRUSH”.
The track is produced by The Internet member Steve Lacy. It has a nice mellow vibe consisting of an electric organ sound, guitar licks, a semi lofi dirty drum kit with a driving pattern and a dope bass line. Ravyn adds the spice to the track with her soulful yet playful style. This one is definitely a repeatable gem for the ears.
The visuals are done by director Weird Life. He created a 70’s inspired theme with Ravyn reminding us of a young disco era Diana Ross.
Ravyn says “Sticky”….
“symbolizes the merry-go-round period of love, where things aren’t quite right but you can’t help sticking around each other.”
Be on the look out for “CRUSH” which drops on January 26th, via Atlantic Records.
