So what does 5 time BMX World Champion Saya Sakakibara do when she’s running late for the dance? She hops on her BMX racing bike and sprints across town, that’s what!! 😉
This fun video features the Australian Elite BMX pro as she lost track of time and almost forgot about the school dance. luckily her mom reminded her. From the time on the clock it looks like she only had 15mins to get there on time so she changed real quick, text her back telling him “I’m always On Time” knowing she didn’t really have a way to get there. Then she looks back, sees her bike and boom!! Great idea…Just ride the bike to the dance!!!! Just to be safe Saya puts on her helmet, knees pads, elbow pads and gloves and races through town, sprinting and doing manuals. And how could she resist stopping by the local BMX track for a quick lap….gotta get that training in when you can 😉 After that she makes it to the red carpet of the dance right on time and of course gets the valet to park her bike. Nice!! We like these fun videos that feature BMX racers!
Be on the lookout for Saya Sakakibara as she competes in the UCI BMX World Cup series this year in the Elite Women’s class. Saya and her brother Kai both race BMX and ther’re aiming to become the first brother and sister duo to represent Australia in BMX, at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Stay tuned!!
