Vans did a collaboration with classic stop animation movie ‘ The Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s a four-piece collection that includes some of Vans’ classic kicks! Obviously the inspiration behind this collection is from the movie and they did a good job on them.
A Sk8-Hi, Authentic, Old-Skool and Slip-On have all got The Nightmare Before Christmas treatment. Each sneaker feature lots of details and hidden gems in them.
The Authentic is loaded with a collage of characters from the movie on the canvas upper. But hidden in the sockliner is a little pink Easter Bunny print.
The Sk8-Hi feature prints of Sally, Zero and the Zombie Band on each side of the kicks. But inside the leather heel is the sax player’s classic line “Nice work, bone daddy”
The Old Skool’s feature a side patch of the Lock, Stock and Barrel characters on the green outer panel. The character’s traps and toys are printed on the red inner panel.
The Slip-On features a plastic appliqué of Jack Skellington’s bowtie. The kicks also feature matching stripes around the white canvas uppers to mimic the characters suite. You can even see the button on the toe. All the shoes have the red Vans branding on the tongue and or heel patches.
