Today’s Bike Of The Day is a TFS Response Pro XL, ridden by Geof Ssengoba!! Geof is the man behind the TFS(24 Se7en) Brand and his personal bike looks fresh! On this B.O.T.D. article, I did a little Q&A with Geof. Check it out below.
About Geof Ssengoba:
Geof Ssengoba Old Vet pro , BMX Coach & BMX Idea designer
MY Age :
I’m one of the old Guard in vet if I told you my age I would give you 52 reasons to
not let me win and I don’t need that LOL !
Years in the sport:
I would say I been riding all my life but been racing for 37+ years. Not straight though as I totally quit a couple times for years not even riding a bike. I have always coached since my 5th year in the sport though.
Race Class:
I still race Vet Pro when I do race which is only Once or twice every couple of years. I want to race Masters at worlds in Tx this year but with everything going on we will see.
Home Track:
I would say Tampa Bmx and Sarasota but I would always lay claim to Waterford Oaks In Michigan as the place that gave me my love for BMX.
TFS Founder/Ceo :
I guess that would be me Geofrey Ssengoba even though my daughter Ella might say differently that its her.
Are Frames still available :
We closed up shop a bit ago but I find our old frames when they do come up for sale. (Which is not often ) are still trading hands for almost the same price as we sold them for new.
I keep having people ask about new ones so we might make a small batch. I have to take it up with my business partner (Cynthia my wife) and see.
What was the inspiration for the build?
This bike I wanted to just have something that stood out in the crowd and made you take notice even if you where on the other side of the track. Along with showcasing my great sponsors that have always helped me.
I mean look at the E6 Sillencers rims with Gold writing against the wet aqua blue with yellow stickers frame back drop. The chrome profiles cranks and silver JW stem with the TFS black bars and forks
Come on man that stuff just sticks out and looks sic not like every other bike out there. Which once again means people see the sponsors products.
Then my only worry is to make it go fast enough to be seen next to the fast guys .
“Believe Your Story”, Why did you put that saying on your number plate?
I always put a saying behind my plate to help me focus on me or give me a little more drive. This one came from talking to my daughter one day about you are not what others say you are, but what you say you are!
It don’t matter if other don’t see you doing it or being it,but it maters that you see you doing it. You write your own book every chapter and word in-between. You do good its because you worked for it you do bad even when others cheat or do something bad to you. It might not be fair but Its how you respond to it that makes your story.
The book of Life will always go forward so its your job to write it in the direction you want it to go.
