So Ben & Jerry’s and Nike did a collaboration on the SB Dunk Low called “Chunky Dunky.” These kicks are full of tones, textures, and prints in tribute to Ben & Jerry’s popular “Chunky Monkey,”. The Chunky Monkey is a banana ice cream mixed with fudge chunks and walnuts.
The sneakers upper is inspired by the packaging and flavors of the Chunky Monkey. Some of the features on these kicks are the grass green and sky blue leather on the upper. White clouds in the center of the heel are reminiscent of the Chunky Monkey carton. Cow print pony hair is used in the overlays and tongues. It’s inspired from the cow that’s featured on Ben & Jerry’s packaging’s. There’s so much to see on these kicks and somehow it all works. I’m actually wanting some ice cream right now lol.
The “Chunky Dunky” will be dropping exclusively at skateshops on May 23. After that it’ll be available in Nike SNKRS on May 26. It’ll run you $100 to get your feet in a pair.
