I’m loving the 2021 GT Labomba DJ Rigid complete and it came at the perfect time! I was just talking about how Dirt Jumpers are just BMX bikes with front suspension. Some folks agreed and totally get what I’m saying but others where acting like I was being blasphemous LOL!! It amazes me how the MTB crowd love to distance themselves from BMX but BMXing is exactly what they’re doing. It also amazes me how some in the BMX crowd hate on any BMX bike with a bigger wheel size than 20″ LMAO!!.
You do realize BMX stands for Bicycle Motocross, and that’s literally, not figuratively. So what that means is if your on bicycle, especially one that’s made for “aggressive” riding on the dirt, and you use it for riding in the dirt and or jumping dirt jumps, your basically emulating what Motocross riders/bikes do. That means you ARE doing Bicycle Motocross!!! 🙂
Now I know the whole “DJ”, “MTB”, “DH” “Rigid” thing it’s all a marketing scheme since the world still thinks BMX bikes are just kids bikes. And who wants to be a kid anymore 😉 . So instead of calling a 26″, “Dirt Jumper” without front suspension a BMX bike, the marketing gurus decided to just call them Rigids LMAO!!! Or better yet, they call them “Pump Track Bikes” LMAO!!! This is not just a GT thing, it’s a MTB industry standard thing and to be honest, it’s pretty lame. Like the saying goes “Everybody wanna do BMX but nobody wanna Be BMX”.
I can go on for days about this topic but I want to know your thoughts” Leave em in the comment section below. Lets talk about it 🙂
Anyways, forget all the semantics because The 2021 GT Labomba BMX complete 😉 is FIRE!! Shout out to GT for making this sick bike!
