Today’s Bike Of The Day is a nice SE Bikes Floval Flyer sent in by Jim Feniello! I love how the white Skyway Tuff Wheels look on this bike. Be sure to give it a rating for the January Bike Of The Month and 2021 Bike Of The Year charts.
I raced BMX from about 1979 to 1984. Fast forward to 2020…my year
~Jim Feniello
started with a surprise of Kidney Cancer resulting in an operation to
remove the tumor and right kidney…recover from that and right into a
world-wide pandemic. By mid summer, bored to death, figured why not
buy a BMX cruiser and start racing again at 52, makes sense, right?
Bought the last Redline MX-24 available, and hit the track. Fall
rolled around and figured I needed a project. Instead of restoring a
vintage bike, I decided to build a new bike using only brand new
current parts that all have vintage roots.
Broke the rule a bit with the tires, but that’s because it’s not going
to be a garage queen…plan to take it racing this year as soon as it
gets warm.
