Vans Vault takes their UA OG Style 53 LX and hooks it up in a hairy “Pony/White/Black” colorway! The mottled black and white upper is made entirely out of fake pony hair. They left the edges of the slip-on kicks untrimmed for a “furry” collar around the opening and tongue section of the sneakers.
Other features of the Style 53 is the penny loafer-esque strap with the classic eye-shaped slit in the middle. A black vulcanized rubber sole that’s a lot thicker than the usual pair of Vans kicks. I’m digging the thick treaded outsole, these are definitely winter kicks. I wonder how they feel on pedals.
To complete the look of the kicks is the blacked-out license plate on the heel and the tonal white Vans tab under the collar on the lateral side. You can get your feet in a pair of UA OG Style 53 LX for a steep $158.86usd.
