This past Friday was the press event for the You Office and First City Project Small Business Pop Up and Art Collective and it was a big hit! The event was held at the You Office building in Glen Cove and it featured an eclectic collection of small business vendors. I was also there as a vendor and brought some Sugar Cayne BMX treats to the event. Check out the photo gallery below to see what you missed!
About FCP x Art Collective
FCP x Art Collective aims to invigorate the community through
exposure to a new art medium and a new spirit of creativity that
can rise alongside the traditional values. Future projects include
live art events, mural projects, student art classes, artisanal food
events, and art themed boutiques/ popups. The organization. launched as a one-off event in 2017 and now a (pending) non-profit organization that would help further cultivate pride in Glen Cove by bringing positivity, unity and color to the streets and
giving artists a legal way to showcase their work in a public way,
teach the youth and celebrate art.We leveraged the power of live
~First City Project
events to gain exposure and media
attention for small businesses and
artists of Long Island. Thirty- four
local vendors set up shop in the
YouOffice building. This immersive
event generated buzz within the Glen
Cove Community and over 350
guests, including the Mayor of Glen
Cove Tim Teneke, City
Councilwoman Marsha Silverman,
and various media outlets, attended.
