Australian BMX Pro Logan Martin took home the first-ever Olympic gold medal in the men’s freestyle BMX, at the event’s debut in Tokyo. Martin told reporters during the press conference that the result were “the craziest thing to me”.
“I truly invested a lot of money into making this dream possible.”
~Logan Martin
Logan told reporter how he spent $80,000+on his back yard training facility to prepare for the Olympics and boy did it pay off!! We’ve been watching him dropping bangers from his back yard on IG all year, dude is a beast!
Aside from Martin’s gold medal, Venezuela’s 36-year-old BMX veteran Daniel Dhers won the silver which was awesome!! Britain’s Declan Brooks took the bronze medal making Great Britain the country with the most BMX events medals at the 2020 Olympic Games.
Huge shout out to Logan, Hyper Bicycles and Snafu on their historic win!
