In today’s I didn’t see that coming news, Jennifer Lopez “AKA” Jlo hops on a BMX bike for Coach’s new Horse And Carriage ad! In the commercial, Jlo hits the suburban streets with a crew of BMXers rocking white Coach gear. There were rider doing bunny hops and jumping off curbs. And there was even a BMXer who busted out a barspin! Of course Jenny was just cruising around with a basket on the bars but she was repping on a 20″ which is rare these days. The music in the ad was clearly a nod to the 80’s BMX era which was nice but it would’ve been even nicer if the bikes had Skyway Tuff Wheels on them.

The Concept:
Coach creative director Stuart Vevers and photographer Tyler Mitchell were the master minds behind the BMX concept. They wanted to show the Horse And Carriage label through a retro-ish pop culture lens. It would’ve been cool if they had Jenny on a high end 20″ or a mint 80’s BMX collectible since Coach is all about the high price tag but I’m not mad. I’m just hyped that she’s on a 20″ BMX bike!
It’s stuff like this that give a little boost to BMX and maybe, just maybe fellas, your wives will look at you a little less crazy since Jlo’s on one at 52 years old LOL!
