A 2001 Profile Racing Racer Pro XXL is our first Bike Of The Day feature for 2022! This bike is in mint condition and looks like it’s ready for some track or trail action! This one was submitted by David Galvin. He did an awesome job with the custom paint on the frame and the part sourcing! Straight up mid school BMX Racing dopeness! LOL! That’s crazy because I remember when the early 2000’s was the new school. lol!
I raced with this same frame and got #1 in the state of FL in 2002. I stopped racing in 2003 due to injuries and because I worked with my hands in the automotive paint and body industry, it was hard to make money being injured all of the time. Anyway recently, I was able to find this frame (same as my old race frame from 2002). I stripped it to bare metal and I painted it with a custom automotive style paint job consisting of a black base coat, a pearl red mid coat and a clear coat. I still had some of my old parts like the hubs and the stem to add to the build.
