A 2022 National Pro 24 BMX Cruiser re-issue is today’s Bike Of The Day! It was submitted by Brian Compton and it looks great! It has that classic chrome and red colorway that was popular back in the day. It also some classic parts which you can see in the parts list and gallery.
The 2022 National Pro 24 re-issue has the same geometry and design as the mid 80’s frames. Threaded fork, standard brakes, American BB, including the .190 thick drop outs on the frame and fork. And of course it’s all 4130 chromoly.

Simply put, Tommy Brackens was my inspiration. The two builds I prize which includes this one were chosen because Tommy Brackens rode them. I built a 29” version of the white Torker he rode bitd and now this. My dream would be to acquire a White Bear but I think I’ll have to settle for a GT for my next build. Tommy was what I thought was cool and an incredibly skilled racer, and still is from what I hear.
