The folks at Evolve Skateboards have been making electric powered skateboards for years and now they’re expanding to bikes! With their new expansion to Ride Evolve, the brand created an E-BMX bike that actually looks pretty legit. The team behind Evolve actually have deep BMX roots and they wanted to design a more functional and familiar BMX feel to their bike in comparison to the typical e-bike. It’s a nice blend of retro bmx, modern day BMX tech and E-Bike engienuity all wrapped into this bike.
The highlights for me is the fact that you can use your standard 24in wheels and I’m loving that the bike comes with Skyway Tuff Wheels. This is the first time I’ve seen Tuff Wheels with disc brakes!!! I hope they start making them avaiable on their wheelsets. They’re also using Tange tubing for the frame and the internal cable routing looks clean. The motor placment is intergrated into the bottom bracket which I really like. And it cool how the frame is designed to fit the moto.
I’m not the biggest e-bike fan but this bike definitely got my attention.
