A few days ago HipHop veteran JaRule posted a photo of him in the studio sitting on a restored GT Performer. It has that classic, neon orange colorway with white accents via the parts. He’s calling it “GT Sunrise” after the name of his tour called “The Sunrise Tour”. Ja was also holding a vintage cell phone, I guess to go with the 80’s theme of the bike? LOL!!
The bike was custom built by GenXBikes for JaRule’s upcoming album and tour and it looks mint! I wonder what he’s gonna do with it on tour? Probably cruise around the arenas like Vin Rock and Kay Gee did with their Sugar Cayne By Nature and Illtown Sluggaz bikes? I’m also curious if Ja knows how to do any tricks? And what is he using it for on his album? Part of the album art? This also raises the question, Is JaRule another HopHop artist that collects vintage BMX bikes? Is this his only build or are there more? I dunno but I’m gonna find out, stay tuned!
I like seeing all these HipHop stars having fun on BMX bikes and bringing awareness to bikes.
I want to feature this build for Bike Of The Day so if Corey at GenXBikes is reading this, Hit me up!
