This is my 2nd frame I’ve built, and just finished up with a super clean metallic candy red paint (also did the paint work myself!) I got into frame building late ’22 as a way to better understand what makes a bike work. I’ve been drawn to the low slung aggressive styling of modern race bikes, and wanted to take that a step farther. I’ve really enjoyed riding a low BB bike, and can feel a substantial difference in the stability and carving in turns. The frame came out right at 5lbs, which for such a long frame I feel is pretty decent. I also chose to use thicker butted tubing on this build which really helped smooth out that buttery 4130 ride even further! Check out @Dark_Horse_Frameworks on instagram for more!
