Three months ago I posted an article about Foster Bike Park(Mullaly’s) working on becoming a concrete park. Well they recently received 4 million from Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson to complete the 10 million dollar commitment to restore the park. They held a press conference at Foster Bike Park for the big announcement and check signing. Rob Ramos and Brendan Vail were there to receive the big check! The great part about this renovation is that it will be designed with BMX in mind so the flow and jumps will cater to a wider variety of riders and riding styles. That’s awesome!!
The renovation will be starting soon and the ribbon cutting of the new park will be in 2026! This is a huge deal on all levels. I can’t wait to see and ride the new park!
Big shout out to Rob, Brendan and whole Mullaly’s crew for holding down this legendary park down for these years. And big thanks to everyone involved in making this new project a reality.
💥Exciting Announcement💥 ~ We proudly joined with Council Member Althea Stevens, the NYC Parks Department and Go Sports NYC, to announce a $4M allocation for the renovation of the Foster Skate Park. 🛹This $4 million capital allocation is an investment in the Reverend T. Wendell Foster Park, the oldest skate park in our City which opened in 1988 and represents our shared commitment to enhancing public spaces in our Borough and providing safe spaces and recreation for our children and youth. 🛹 The Foster Skate Park has been a vibrate hub for skateboarders, rollerbladers and BMX riders over the years. This $4M investment combined with prior funding represents a total commitment of $10M and will foster a sense of community, health and wellness, promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting youth development. Thank You to our partners and elected officials for this important opportunity for our Borough. Groundbreaking coming soon……🛹🛹
