Inglewood, California’s New Velosolutions Pumptrack Is Amazing!

Last year a new Velosolutions pump track opened up right in Inglewood California. It’s the very first pump track built in Los Angeles and it actually features two tracks. A beginner/intermediate course and a intermediate/professional course. Professional MTB athlete Eliot Jackson’s Grow Cycling Foundation was behind the push to make this amazing facility a reality. I can’t wait to get back out to Cali to check this one out!

We just did something impossible. It was impossible because a city of almost 4 million people had never done it before. It was impossible because I had almost 100 meetings that ended in “No.” It was impossible because nearly 10k individual donations raised almost $400k. It was impossible because a community of color shouldn’t be able to turn out over 1000 existing cyclists, all riding the bikes they bought and love and ride daily.

We had opening day at the Inglewood Pumptrack on September 24th, 2023. Over 1000 people came out from the community to celebrate having a new people to ride! We are so thankful to everyone who donated over the past three years to bring this to life.

We built this because we know what it feels like to have your local spots chained up, torn down or to be kicked out for doing what you love. This place was created to change that. Forever.
