So I did a search for BMX Hip Hop songs and stumbled across this gem called “BMX” by Stresmatic! It’s a fun song where the Bay Area emcee reminisces about about his BMX roots as a youth. In the video Stesmatic has a big “BMX” neon sign, glimpses of Rad the movie being projected on a wall and a Spike Lee style shot of him on his BMX bike. He was also rocking some OneSpeedCo apparel to represent for San Francisco BMX brand.
There have been several failed attempts at making BMX inspired songs but for some reason this one connected with me. Soon as I heard his joint I fell in love with it The song and video reminded about back in the early days when Hip Hop was a lotta fun. And I like the the classic Georgy Porgy sample over the Sucker MC’s beat.
