Commencal's First Ever BMX Racing Frame Wins Olympic Silver

Remember when I said Commencal needs to make their BMX Project P038 frame available to the public? Well they actually do. After I posted my Olympic Bike episode, my FB friend Steve Sherman post a link from Commencal’s site that list the frame for sale. I still don’t know how he found it LOL! But big shout out to Steve for the heads up!

I gotta give big props to Commencal for shaking things up with their frame design. One of the things that stick out right away on this frame is the head tube lug style gusset. Not only does it add a unique style to the look of the head tube, it also creates extra strength. The other thing is that unique bottom bracket which also looks to be a cnc’d lug connection that reinforces the strength of the frame in that area. Extra strength and rigidity can be found on the CNC’d machined drops. Commencal was really trying to push the envelope on this frame and it lead them to have two Olympic finalist and an Olympic silver metal. I’d say Job well done.
