Nigel Sylvester BIKE AIR BMX Bike Made By Specialized

Nigel Sylvester dropped a teaser video of his new collaboration BMX bike in anticipation for his BIKE AIR Driveway Grey sneaker release. It’s the first ever Nigel Sylvester x Jordan Brand BIKE AIR BMX bike made by Specialized! It’s a chromoly 26in BMX Bike featuring a chrome plated frame, fork, cranks and bars. The head tube has Nigel’s “GO” logo, Specialized branding on the downtube and Jordan branding on the bars. Of course the stand out feature are the black wheel covers with the Jordan’s Jumpman logo in white. “Bike Air” branding can also be found on the custom seat.

Other features on the bike is the loop tail rear end, three piece cranks and V-brakes. I couldn’t make out much of the pedals in the video but I do see they have pins. And I’m guessing the frame has a euro bottom bracket. Another notable thing is the bottom bracket look higher than your typical BMX cruiser so it should be good for tricks. I’ll also go on a limb and guess the frame, fork and bars are 4130 chromoly….fingers crossed.

As a kid, I was obsessed with all chrome BMX bikes; I felt it was the pinnacle of bicycle colorways in the 90’s. Nothing else shined like a chrome BMX bike in motion on a bright summer day. This bike is one of my childhood dreams fulfilled, and it celebrates the upcoming release of my AJ4 RM ‘Driveway Grey’
