NECA Toys released a prop replica from the E.T. movie which features Eliot and E.T. on his BMX bike! It’s inspired from the classic climatic scene from the movie when Eliot and E.T. were being chased by the feds. Eliot and his crew were sprinting, dipping and jumping to get away. And just when they thought they were cornered by the feds road block, E.T. made all the kids fly over them. That scene was a huge moment for BMX and was responsible for getting A LOT of kids into the sport.
The moon back drop was inspired by the scene when E.T. made Eliot and his bike fly at night looking like they were flying across the moon. The outfit that Eliot is wearing on the toy is from the chase scene. Dam this bringing back all kinds of memories lol!
The figure was released about a year ago and is still available. I wonder if NECA will have it on display at this year’s New York Comic Con. This is definitely one to add to the BMX collection.
