Today’s Bike Of The Day is another nice Rumblefish CS submitted by Richard Kerr!! This time it’s a OS20 Pro XL build and I’m loving it! This disc only chromoly frame is ready for the track with it’s low profile stance. Can’t go wrong with that orange and blue color scheme with black, chrome and polish to complete the look. I have for you today my latest build. It’s a Rumblefish CS Pro XL OS20. I wanted a new school bike so I built up this frame and fork. I wanted some old school vibe with new school tech. I used Chromoly shaped tubing through out. Every time I build a new frame and fork I always do something different, to learn a new skill.
On this build I went with a tapered head tube and steer tube on the fork. 1 1/8”-1 1/2”. Also this is my first OS20 build. The jig I use is pretty basic, no built in angle gages or measurements. So when I build a frame I have a l base setting I use for a starting point and I make adjustments from there. Like head tube angle, seat tube angle, top tube ect. Whatever the build calls for. This being my first OS20 I had no base setting so I started from my 20” pro base and I had to add a little SWAG (Scientific wild a** guess). As with most my build I use a little SWAG but on this one I used more than usual.
My favorite day with a new build is the day I get it all done and built up and take for a ride. After all that’s reason why we do all the work in the first place. To ride.
