Is GT Bicycles Going Out Of Business?

Is it really over for GT Bicycles? Are they really going out of business? It’s kinda looking that way, the way everyone is talking.

If you haven’t heard already, word on the street, trails, and the tracks…and the parks is GT Bicycles is Dead! Or is it really? For the last 24 hours the big talk not only in BMX but the cycling industry in general is GT’s announcement of it falling back, pausing production and laying off staff. The new started coming out when GT sponsored riders were posting about it on social media. GT had a big meeting with all their sponsored riders telling them that they were letting them go.

That’s BMX, MTB, Road, Bike Life, etc, All the sponsored riders are done! GT is no longer supporting them. There have been several post, new reports and chatter on the Facebook BMX group pages about it. But the narrative seems to be, GT is shutting it’s doors, going outta business, never coming back!
