Throne Cycles stepped it up with a collaboration with legendary street wear brand Ecko Unltd! It’s a Goon 29in BMX bike custom designed by Marc Ecko! The bike made its debut at Complex Con back in November and it got lotta buzz. Matte Black is the color of choice for the frame and fork with gold parts for the offset color. “Blame Marc Ecko” is featured in gold on the down tube and “Ride Or Die” is featured on the forks. It also has some cool camouflaged wheel covers to match the gold and black theme of the bike. With these wheel covers and the Jordan Brand wheel cover on that Bike Air Bike it looks like wheel covers might be making a come back. Welp at least in the streetwear Hypebeast circle.
Knobby Kenda tires were used for those riders who like to hit the dirt trails as well as the streets. A cushy railed camouflaged seat which features a reflective rear end helps riders be seen for those night rides. And a custom black Ecko Unlimited sprocket with white Ecko logos layered on top of each other. There’s also a custom camo pad set with Dear1993.art on the frame pad and the Ecko logo on the bar pad. It also has front and rear V-brakes in gold.
Marc Ecko made something really unique for this bike with his custom frame strap. It’s supposed to make it easier to carry your bike. Only a super limited 93 Goon bikes were made with this design. I’m pretty sure the 93 bikes has to do with the Dear1993.art branding which is the year Ecko unlimited was founded.
An unexpected but expected collaboration just hit the collectors market. Two notorious brands having an impact on the growth of urban culture. Eckó and Throne Cycles will now introduce The Goon – Ride or Die. Combining the best of both worlds to attract BMX enthusiasts and fans of street fashion creates a unique crossover. ~Throne Cycles
