SugarCayne.com member Roy Washington Jr (@roywashingtonjr) sent a special bike to feature on Bike Of The Day. A 2009 Bulldog Bikes Blackstar 20in BMX bike! This bike features treats on it from different periods in BMX racing since the frame came out till now. Most notably the modern day oversized Box handlebars and stem. The color scheme on the bike is wild with the all black frame, gold front wheel, red rear wheel and blue v-brakes. Give this one a rating for the Bike Of The Month and Bike Of The Year charts
Bulldog Bikes Worldwide was founded by Jimmy Mac McNeal. It was the first BMX brand to bring Hip Hop culture, BMX Culture and streetwear fashion together. Bulldog Bikes sponsored several legendary riders like Jason Richardson, Brad Simms and Shanaze Reade. Unfortunately we lost Jimmy Mac last year due to complications with his kidneys but his legacy lives on with Bulldog Bikes and his footwear company Union Square Shoes.
My inspiration for this Bulldog Bikes build is and was Jimmy Mac McNeal who was one of my greatest supporters while being in the United States Navy as a FMF AMLT Hospital Corpsman. Dr. Jason Richardson is also another inspiration for this build and I’m so proud that he is donating his personal KASTAN built frame to Tulsa’s Hall of Fame! Both of these two legends live through this personal build. We were sponsored by the Source Magazine where I received a Bulldog Bikes NBL Grands promotional pick in the 2008 Edition with Snoop Dog on the Cover.
