The Huffy elite pro BMX racing frames have officially evolved into V2 prototypes! Yep, Carly Kane and Nic Long posted some teaser photos of their version 2 prototype Huffy frames on Instagram! And you know I had to share them here on SugarCayne.com! I’m really loving the progress on the frames and those paint jobs look awesome! The frames are getting a lot closer to production but Huffy is still working out some geometry changes and other stuff. But it’ll be great to see Nic Long fimally hitting the track on his own Huffy. I’m curious to see the geometry specs on his frame.
Some of the notable features of the prototype frame that I can see are:
- 6061 Aluminum T-6 tubing
- T47 Bottom Bracket
- Tapered headtube
- Internal chain tensioning system inspired by their 90’s era BMX racing frames
- Beefy bridge plates from the chain and seat stays
- beefy chain and seat stay tubing
- Seat stay arch by the drop out
- Disc Brake only
Let me know what you think about the prototype frames in the comments below.
