I can’t get enough of this tune “And Yet Still” by Oddisee. First of all, Oddisee is one of those emcee’s that I stop everything I’m doing when he drops a new treat. “And Yet Still” is the title track off his latest release and all the songs on the album are great but this one just rezonates with me. I love Oddisee’s bars and that beat he crafted is addictive. As soon as the beat stops I hit the the replay real quick lol!
I actually made a beat to the e.piano synth loop waay way back in the day. Oddisee definitely did a better job than me at chopping it up lol. I love what he did with it. I really enjoy Hip Hop that has a vibe, a sense of porpose, makes you think and fills the soul!! This song hits all those marks for me.
The title track is the summery of this album. I wanted it to sound like a stream of thought. Somewhat random but all brought together by the idea of perseverance. ~Oddisee
