9x BMX and Track World Champion Shanaze Reade posted a photo on her BMX Academy IG page teasing a return to BMX Racing!!! Awww YEAH!!! This is the news I’ve been waiting for!! Reade will be rocking a new SKY/British Cycling jersey and with the UCI logo on the collar, it looks like she’ll be hitting some big races this year.
If you didn’t already know Shanaze started her own BMX academy and ever since I’ve been speculating about her possible return to BMX racing. I’ve wanted to see this for a long time and it’s looking like we finally reached that point. Looking at Reade’s numberplate in the photo, you’ll see the Supercross logo!!! That can only mean Shanaze will be riding a Supercross BMX bike for her big return!!! This is huge!!
Now at the age of 36, I’m curious if Shanaze will return in the women’s pro ranks, vet pro class or age group? It would also be awesome to see her competing in the Pump Track Worlds! She’s in super great shape so I’m sure whatever class she picks, she’ll be putting a lotta pressure on her competition. We soon shall see. This is defiitely exciting news! Keep it locked!

The jersey. The number plate. The medals. The legacy. A new chapter is on the horizon, but the question is… is @Shanazereade making a comeback? 👀 The fire never fades, and the hunger never dies. Stay locked in—you won’t want to miss what’s coming next. #ShanazeReade #BMXLegend #UnfinishedBusiness? #StayTuned ~Shanaze Reade
