Thruster Bikes steps into the 9 speed BMX bike arena with their 79 Special 29ner. The bike comes in a nice blue colorway with blue anodized rims and a blue pad set giving it some nice style. 6061 aluminum is the material of choice for the frame while chromoly is used for the forks. Unfortunately the handlebars are listed as steel which probably means Hi-Ten steel but that can easily be upgraded.
The cranks are 3piece chromoly 175mm, it has a 32 tooth sprocket on the front, Shimano Altus gear shifting system and Tektro mechanical dual disc brakes. It weighs 30 pounds and the price is $649.99. Let us know what you think of this bike in the comments.
