Mafia Bikes 20inch BM….Uumm I mean “Wheelie Bike” – Medusa Yellow

With the explosion of the Bike Life movement and the wheelie bike crazy it was only a matter of time before a brand would make a 20″ offering. Those 24-29inch bikes are just too bike for the real little kids that wheelie and do ride outs and we’ve seen them getting busy on 20″ BMX bikes and pit bikes. Now Mafia Bikes is basically taking a 20″ BMX frame, putting some fatter tires on it, lowering the bottom bracket height to mimic a cruiser and calling it a wheelie bike 😉

I like the idea but I’ve always had an issue with these marketing schemes that pretend like certain bikes aren’t just BMX bikes. Back in the day we had racing bikes, flatland bikes, vert bikes, street bikes and trail bikes but we all acknowledged the fact that they were all still BMX bikes. Just like a sneaker is a sneaker. It doesn’t matter if it’s a jogger, cleated, skate, basketball etc…a Sneaker is a Sneaker! .Anyways, let me stop ranting lol!

The Mafia 20″ Wheelie Bike is similar to a mini or jr size BMX racing bike and it comes in a nice yellow colorway with red splatter. A really cool feature is it comes with rear disc brakes and a big cushy seat for hours of wheelie action. Of course this bike can be converted with race parts and guess what? Then it’s just a BMX bike LOL! But with all that said I really like this idea and this bike! And I know it’s gonna get even more kids on bikes!
