Today’s Bike Of The Day is a sick Standard OS20 125r!! It was submitted by Kurt Claypool and he did a really nice job of this build. I love the bold decals on those E6 rims. Be sure to give this bike a rating for Bike Of The Month and Bike Of The Year.
My inspiration for the build came from returning to the racing scene after a 6 year break and had been racing in the cruiser class for about a month at the time of calling Standard for the frame order. I had enjoyed how much more comfortable I felt on a cruiser after mostly riding 20 inch for years and had rode a Standard 125r in between the break, loved the bike but the 20” felt to small as I am 5,11”. I also wanted to break up the aluminum alloy and carbon frames that as become common in the racing industry. Long story short I figured I’d combine the 2 and try the OS20 setup.

My goals for the build was I wanted to use an American made, chromoly frame and keep it as American made as I could with some of the parts list. The color way for the build had to include raw metal and gold because I wanted to try the combo for years and standard has unique line up of stock colors, I tried to keep the vast shades of gold the manufacturers put out close as I could.
My favorite thing on the bike has to be the gold Standard racing cobra on the front head tube. Hope I inspired some and the rest enjoy the build.
