After an exciting day of BMX racing during qualifiers at the Paris Olympics, 4 out of 5 Americans made it to the semis! The United States was one of only three countries to send a full five-member team to France and so far their chances of making the finals is good. But it won’t be easy.

On the women’s side, the United States had two Americans qualify for the semifinals. Alise Willoughby and Daleny Vaughn both advanced to Friday’s semifinals. Unfortunately Felicia Stancil di not make it out. Alise was on fire during all her qualifying motos coming in 1st each time. Daleny was looking real strong out there hanging behind Alise. But she got passed right at the finish line a few times.

On the men’s side, Cameron Wood and Kamren Larsen moved on to the semifinals. Both riders were riding amazing and led the pack on a few motos. Kameren Larsen was getting amazing starts and held on to the hole shot position but got past at the very end of the last straight.

The Semifinals will start with the men’s semifinals at 2 pm(est) on Friday August 2nd, with the women to follow. Medal races are scheduled to start at 3:35 pm(est) it’s gonna be some exciting racing going down for sure!.
