Things are spicing up for the greatest race on earth aka the USA BMX Grand Nationals! Before the big race weekend begins they’ll be doing a long jump and and wheelie competition!
The Long Jump Competition:
Any rider of any age and proficiency can sign up to compete in the Long Jump competition. Besides the sign up information, there’s no more details about the comp. I wonder if they’ll do it at the finish line like we do at the Sugar Cayne Bike Fest. The three riders who go the furthest will win a cash prize. All you need is a 20 or 24in bike. I’m assuming flat pedal only? Let me know in the comments if you have the inside info.
Prize Payout:
- 1st: $300
- 2nd: $200
- 3rd: $100
The Wheelie Competition:
This is for all the BMXers and Bike Life riders out there! USA BMX is putting on their own wheelie competition at the pre Grands event and it’s gonna be fun! Any rider with a 26in or bigger can enter the comp and the top three riders win a cash prize.
Prize Payout:
- 1st: $500
- 2nd: $250
- 3rd: $100
Not only will there be a long jump and wheelie competition but the pre race event will also feature the annual USA BMX side hack race!! It all goes down Tuesday night Nov 26th at the Hardesty BMX Stadium in Tulsa Oklahoma. Yo the pre race is sounding like its gonna be more fun than the main event!
