I came across these HipHop/BMX illustration a few months ago done by Bernard Rollins! He’s a freelance illustrator who does a bunch of HipHop inspired pieces. But he also has a few pieces where he brings the HipHop and BMX worlds together. I think his most popular piece is the one with Notorious B.I.G. The rapper is seen doing a wheelie on a GT while rocking timbs, Jesus Pieces, Versace sweater, shades and a Kangol.
BMX B.I.G done in Procreate. Tried a new brush with this one and went crazy. Love how the colors pop and how hilarious it is seeing Biggie on a bike, but also how cool he looks doing so. Prints are available on my site. ~Bernard Rollins
There’s also a fresh one that features Mobb Deep on a classic 1984 VDC Freestyler inspired BMX bike. Both of the pieces were done several years ago but I hope he has more on the way. It could be a dope series for all the BMX Hip Hop heads out there. What’s really cool is you can get these as prints or T-shirts on Bernard’s website, that’s wassup!
