Troy Thomas submitted another Bike Of The Day treat with this 2022 Throdwn BMX race bike! You can’t go wrong with a black and gold color scheme and I like all the white highlights as well. The parts list on this bike are solid all the way down to the inner tubes. The only thing I would change to make this bike look better is the seat height and angle.

I built this bike because I wanted to get back into BMX and racing after a few decades of barely riding. Originally I built a 86 GT Pro as a race bike but a few buddies of mine who are still active told me Nooooo…… lol so knowing nothing about modern day BMX bikes OR companies I started this build. (I’m old school, I only knew GT, Hutch, Diamondback, Kuwahara… lol). Turned out to be my favorite build and can’t wait for this Midwest winter weather to give so I can get it out on the track. Completely put it together myself too, including lacing the spokes! Was my first time lol! Black and gold theme came from my high school colors, University City Indians (hence the logo on the stem cap lol)
